Therapy Assistant

About the Role

We have full-time and part-time vacancies, between 3-5 days per week during school terms, across our Midland, Joondalup, Shenton Park and East Fremantle centres. As part of our Therapy and Clinical Services team, our Therapy Assistants provide direct support to children with Autism.

Under the supervision of experienced therapists and clinicians, our Therapy Assistants:

  • Implement therapy and community support programs
  • Participate in a training and mentoring program
  • Are part of a passionate multidisciplinary team that includes Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Early Childhood Teachers
  • Are trained in a unique Autism Specific Early Intervention program based on best practice principles
  • Learn about our collaborative model and develop a toolbox of practical strategies that best support children with Autism

About You

To succeed in this role you will be highly motivated, with a strong work ethic and can-do attitude. You will also have:

  • Experience in working with children or young people with a disability and their families
  • Dedication and passion for working as part of a dynamic team to support children with Autism and their families
  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to prioritise
  • High level communication skills, both written and verbal
  • To join our team you will be required to complete required clearances including an NDIS Workers Check.
