Shared Homes Coordinator

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Coordinator to join our Community Living Team. You will work alongside a number of other Coordinators with the shared purpose of creating a truly good life for the people we support.

This is a frontline leadership position requiring your supervisory presence in shared-living homes throughout the working week. This includes ensuring the highest standard of care to people with Autism through an active coaching and leadership presence.

In your role, you will lead a team of Support Workers, engage with families, therapists, medical professional, community stakeholders and the people we support. 

The successful candidate will be a strong advocate for the rights of people with disability to lead the life they choose. You will work with passion and commitment to overcome barriers and create opportunities for individuals to have a good life. You will lead by example and oversee staff to ensure they deliver on the highest quality of care and enjoyable life experiences for the people we support.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have a strong commitment to an inclusive community where the worth and dignity of each person is valued. You will show this commitment through your presence to staff in ensuring the quality of life of the people we support. 

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree in the Human Services field.
  • Extensive practical experience in the field of Human Services, demonstrating a deep understanding of client needs and a proven track record of effective service delivery.
  • Experience in leading teams and managing people, overseeing day-to-day operations and client care standards.
  • Proficient in communicating effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experienced in engaging with and managing relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders, ensuring collaborative partnerships and effective service coordination.
  • Prior hands-on experience in implementing personalised support plans for individuals with disabilities, emphasising creativity, flexibility, and a person-centred approach to enhance quality of life and independence.
  • Possess a valid and unrestricted driver’s licence (No P Plates)

To join our team you will be required to complete required clearances including a Medical, National Police Clearance and NDIS Workers Check.
