Speech Pathologist

About the Role

We are looking for passionate, energetic and caring Speech Pathologists to join our growing Therapy Team at  one of our hubs in East Fremantle, Joondalup, Midland or Shenton park on a full-time or part-time basis.

As part of our collaborative multidisciplinary Therapy Team, you will have access to comprehensive training and development, and pathways to advance your skills in AAC, mealtimes, language, literacy and social communication as well as the opportunity to specialise your skill set within a particular age group by working within our Early Intervention and  School Age teams.

In this role, you will: 

Deliver individualised and collaborative therapy services
Support speech and language development, social communication, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) in individualised therapy sessions. Work closely with parents, schools and communities to provide communication training as well as the opportunity to lead Hanen Programs® for parents. Develop your skills in leading group therapy programs including our Social Magic afterschool group program and international programs like KONTAKT.

Be part of a team
Collaborate and learn from a knowledgeable and supportive multidisciplinary team; be part of a hub with regular team meetings, joint sessions and team building activities.

Variation in your day
Provide a combination of hub-based therapy and community visits in your local area; lead therapy groups across a range of ages and skill areas to foster communication, play, self-advocacy, and relationships.

Grow your passion
Develop your clinical pathway by joining our specialty teams, including our AAC Team and/or Mealtime Management Team.

Do more of what you love
Be supported by a team of operations staff to assist with resource making, scheduling, funding and billing, so you can focus on your clinical work.

Make a difference in the community
Participate in community events and projects through our extensive community partnerships to support inclusion for all. Some of our community partners include AQWA, The Art Gallery of Western Australia, SciTech, Sensitive Santa, WA Cricket.

About You

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and a passion to dream big for people with Autism to live their best lives.

Additional requirements for the role include:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Registered as a certified practising member of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Experience working with children and/or adults with disability and their families is desirable

To join our team you will be required to complete required clearances including a Medical, National Police Clearance / NDIS Workers Check
