About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Applications Specialist that enjoys working with people within in a stimulating, fast-paced environment.  The role will assist the operations team in relation to applications support as well as supporting the wider team in documentation, monitoring, and maintaining systems.

This position will be reporting to the IT Operations Manager and the main duties will include: -

  • Develop expertise and provide application support across all business applications in the Association
  • Guide and support the efficient use of application services to stakeholders and internal customers
  • Monitors compliance to policies, standards and procedures where relevant to the discipline
  • Anticipate and address potential issues before they become a problem including escalating unresolved issues
  • Ensure applications continue to meet the security, capacity, scalability, resilience, and operational requirements of the Association
  • Work with the broader team to ensure application issues/requests are fulfilled including applications security enhancements
  • Create test scripts and undertake Release Verification Testing for all business solutions upgrades
  • Working with the PMO, implement and manage deployment of changes to all existing business applications and services
  • Contribute to Application Services documentation including user guides, technical documentation, and reporting
  • Coordinating activities with external vendors and internal stakeholders in a professional manner to ensure high level of customer satisfaction

About You

To succeed you will be highly organized, thrive under pressure, be able to juggle multiple priorities and engage stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. In addition, you’ll have:

  • IT Degree (Computer Science) or a related discipline or field
  • Self-driven and able to work independently, planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines within short time frames and to manage changing priorities
  • SQL database experience
  • Proven support of a CRM Application
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint (or willing to learn)
