Coordinator - Shared Living

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Coordinator to join our Community Living Team. You will work alongside a number of other Coordinators with the shared purpose of creating a truly good life for the people we support.

The Coordinator in our Shared Living Service plays a pivotal role in ensuring we meet the highest standard of care in all of our work alongside people with Autism. In your role, you will lead a team of Support Workers, engage with families, community stakeholders, and work closely with the people we support.

The successful candidate will be a strong advocate for the rights of people with disability to lead the life they choose.  To this end, you will work with passion and commitment to overcome barriers and create opportunities for individuals to have a good life. You will oversee staff to ensure they deliver on the highest quality of care and enjoyable life experiences for the people we support. You will lead staff to demonstrate care and consideration in all of their undertakings, and ensure families are actively engaged.

About You

You will show this commitment in your leadership of staff and the expectations you establish for the quality of life of the people we support.  You will lead by example and not be hesitant in actively guiding any member of the team who falls short of this standard.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in Human Services.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Line management experience.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Full driver’s licence (No P-plates)

To join our team, you’ll be required to complete the required clearances including a MedicalNational Police Clearance and NDIS Workers Screening Check.
