About the Role

Spend your day making a difference to someone’s life by supporting them to reach their individual goals in the community, at work or at home. Duties include assisting individuals to develop their daily living skills in areas such as budgeting, meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping; enhancing job readiness skills through support in voluntary work, work experience or further education; building social connections and forming friendships.

Our shifts vary between 3-6 hours long and fall generally in the morning or afternoon. If you have on-going availability to work between 10-20 hours per week, we flexible opportunities for Community Support Workers to join our team.

About You

We are looking for support workers that understand that each person is different and who have a kind and caring nature, together with the confidence and passion to advocate for others.

Our Support Workers come from various backgrounds such as studying Allied Health subjects, having exposure through an education setting or lived experience of supporting individuals with Autism. You may be currently studying Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Teaching, working as an Education Assistant, Sports Coach, Dance Teacher, or a parent who has a child with Autism. Requirements of the role:

  • Previous experience in the disability sector is desirable but not essential
  • A commitment to supporting individuals needs and goals.
  • Resilience to undertake new challenges.
  • A full drivers licence
  • Access to a safe and suitable vehicle
