The Autism Association is delivering a new and exciting Provisional Psychology Academy to provide internship opportunities for provisional psychologists and support them towards registration and practice in a range of services and locations.

About the Role

The Professional Engagement Coordinator's role within the Provisional Psychology Academy is to provide coordination and administrative supports for the Academy. The Professional Engagement Coordinator will support the Academy to engage, coordinate and deliver promotional activities with a range of stakeholders, including psychology students, universities, employers in the health, disability and mental health sectors. This position is a full-time fixed-term role.

Duties include:

  • Contribute to the development of promotional materials for the Academy relevant to the audience.   
  • Coordinate and deliver promotional activities to a range of stakeholders using a range of platforms, including face-to-face delivery of information sessions.
  • Coordinate the placement of provisional psychologists. 
  • Coordinate supervision and training activities for provisional psychologists and supervisors. 
  • Contribute to the development of resources to be used by the Academy, provisional psychologists, and Board-Approved Supervisors.   
  • Maintain current, complete, and accurate records. 
  • Develop and implement systems to track on outputs and outcomes to meet reporting requirements as specified in the Grant Agreement. 
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to report against outputs and outcomes as per the Grant Agreement.  

About You

In this role, you will ideally have:

  1. Experience in program coordination. 
  2. Experience in promotional or marketing/communications role. 
  3. Proven record of effective interpersonal skills, with excellent capability to communicate with a range of stakeholders, including clinical staff, provisional psychologists, health professionals and universities.  
  4. Organisational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  5. Proven experience with data management systems and establishing effective process to manage a large amount of data.
  6. An inclusive attitude towards engaging with stakeholders from different cultures, backgrounds and roles. 
  7. Innovation and a can-do approach to problem solving. 
  8. Critical thinking skills and a high attention to detail.
  9. Strong customer focus (internal and external).
