Team Leader - Autism Services Advisor

About the Role

The Team Leader of the Autism Services Advisor team is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, innovative and passionate individual. Autism Advisors provide vital interface between individuals with Autism, their families, our organisation and external stakeholders.  The successful candidate will oversee a team of Autism Advisors and drive service improvements in relation to enquiries and intake. The successful candidate will be based in Shenton Park overseeing operations of the Autism Services Advisor team, while working alongside all Autism Association services.  

About You

The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills and a passion for working with people with Autism and/or disability. Previous experience in direct service delivery to individuals with Autism and families is highly desirable.

In this role, you will ideally have:

  • Demonstrated understanding of Autism and the challenges people with Autism and their families experience.
  • Further or tertiary qualifications in disability, community services, Social Work, Education or other Allied Health
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to drive excellent quality customer service and team culture
  • An understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme
  • Demonstrated computer and technical skills including information systems and databases
