Employment Pathway Consultant

About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for a full-time Employment Pathway Consultant, to join our Employment Services team.  

This role is responsible for empowering and motivating our NDIS participants on their employment pathway to success. The focus of this role is to build individuals capacity by assisting them to meet their aspirations for open employment.

The successful applicant will possess high-level communication skills and dedication to the rights of people with disability. In this role, you will:

  • Connect with our participants by coaching, capacity building and developing them on their journey to securing / maintaining employment or volunteering roles.  
  • Create and establish pathways for our individuals via schools and other NDIS funded programs.
  • Conduct formal assessments and implement employment strategies
  • Oversee and monitor NDIS plans.
  • Coordinate job searches and job support activities with the assistance of job coaches.
  • Complete registration requirements for programs
  • Provide reporting as required
  • Most importantly, provide a person centred approach

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be familiar with the employment challenges faced by people with a disability and will have experience working in a role that enables their employment. You will also have:

 

  • Ability to think creatively and outside of the box, with the ability to influence and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Understanding of NDIS plans and requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of School Leaver Employment Supports
  • Passion to break down employment challenges and help your job seekers reach their full potential
  • First Aid certificate (HLTAID011), including a current HLTAID009 component.
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Full valid drivers' license
  • Hold relevant qualifications
