Communications & Design Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a creative and dynamic Communications Designer with a passion for developing designs that tell a story and create connection for or a 12-month maternity leave cover position. In this role you will be part of our Communications and Marketing team, producing and delivering innovative designs across print and digital platforms.

The Communications and Design Officer will bring the Associations brand to life while ensuring brand consistency and visual excellence. Through captivating designs, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of the organisation’s communications and marketing strategy.

About You

If you have a passion for all things design, marketing and communications, have the ability to manage multiple projects, enjoy working with a team to share ideas, and have a keen eye for detail - we want to hear from you.

In addition, you will have:

Essential

  • A passion for looking at new and innovative ways to design and communicate.
  • Experience developing key documents, organisational templates and marketing collateral for internal and external stakeholders. 
  • A high level of creative skill and attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated high level skills and experience in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proven track record of applying brand style guidelines across all organisational platforms and materials including corporate branding, layout, colour theory and typography.
  • Experience translating ideas into captivating designs for marketing campaigns that maximise the impact of communications and drive engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience providing specialist advice and support to internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
  • A love for collaboration while also working independently as needed.  

Desirable

  • Experience filming/editing video and photography
  • Experience using social media and web platforms
  • Experience designing wireframes, updating websites

To join our team you will be required to complete required clearances including a National Police Clearance.
