Employment Consultant

About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for a full-time permanent Employment Consultant – Marketing, to join our Employment Services team.  

This role is responsible for empowering and motivating our job seekers on their employment pathway to success, with a focus on building relationships with employers and breaking down employment barriers.

The successful applicant will possess high-level communication skills and dedication to the rights of people with disability. In this role, you will:

  • Assist job seekers to locate and secure suitable jobs
  • Build relationships with local employers to create suitable and sustainable employment opportunities
  • Promote Employment Services to potential employers
  • Maintain awareness of current labour market trends and programs
  • Ascertain the skills, abilities and interests of job seekers, prepare resumes and develop job plans
  • Deliver a high quality, individualised service to our job seekers, building their employable skills and employers whilst adhering to strict guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Complete relevant administrative requirements including maintaining employer data, required records and job search activities
