NDIS Employment Coordinator

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Employment Consultant to join our community-based team. In this role, you will work alongside other Coordinators with the shared purpose of creating a truly good life for the people we support.

This role is responsible for empowering and motivating our NDIS participants on their pathway to employment success. With a focus on exploration, capacity building and skills development the Employment Coordinator connects participants with further education opportunities, volunteering or work experience and on the job support.

The successful applicant will possess high-level communication skills and dedication to the rights of people with disability. In this role, you will:

  • Connect with participants to develop an individualised employment pathway
  • Liaise with schools, Universities and Tafes
  • Develop potential volunteer and employment opportunities
  • Coordinate job searches and job support activities
  • Coach and mentor support staff
  • Provide reporting as required

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be familiar with the employment challenges faced by people with a disability and will have experience working in a role that enables their employment. You will also have:

  • A passion to break down employment challenges and help your job seekers reach their full potential
  • The ability to think creatively and confidence to negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Understanding of NDIS plans and requirements
  • First Aid certificate
  • Working with Children’s Check
  • Full drivers' license

To join our team, you’ll be required to complete the required clearances including a Medical, National Police Clearance and NDIS Workers Screening Check
