Senior Therapist - Adults

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, values driven senior therapist to join our therapy leadership team, providing services to autistic adults. This role is ideal for an experienced speech pathologist or occupational therapist who enjoys the balance of clinical work with staff development, where your experience and skills are shared with the therapy team to support them to reach their greatest potential. This role also includes opportunities to further develop clinical skills in a particular area of focus within your discipline through service development, clinical project work and professional development.

In this role, you will:

  • Be part of a specialist team:  Thrive in your leadership within a specialist team that provides high quality services to autistic individuals and their support network.
  • Further specialise in a chosen area of your profession: Whether it be through professional development, clinical work or staff mentorship, continue to develop a specialist  skill set suited to the support needs of our clients.
  • Receive comprehensive leadership mentoring: Work within an experienced leadership team to demonstrate organisational values and culture in the work that you do.
  • Embed best practice in your work: Demonstrate your knowledge of best practice in autism through your clinical practice, and show your commitment to explore opportunities for ongoing service improvement by adapting to the changing needs of our clients and staff.
  • Provide sound clinical supervision and line management: Adapt your communication style to effectively support and develop staff through line management, to maximise their connection with the role.
  • Variation in your day:  Use the flexibility within your caseload to arrange your work day in a way that works for you. Foster connection with your team by working at one of our Hubs closest to you, or choose to spend some days in the community between appointments, allowing for flexibility and initiative to balance your own caseload while supporting your line staff.
  • Make a difference in the community: Participate in community events and projects through our extensive community partnerships to support inclusion for all. Some of our community partners include AQWA, The Art Gallery of Western Australia, SciTech, Sensitive Santa and WA Cricket.
