Chief Information and Technology Officer

About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Information and Technology Officer to lead our technology, digital transformation, and information systems strategy.

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving innovation, strengthening IT governance and security, and ensuring our technology delivers real impact for the communities we serve.

You will provide leadership and operational oversight across all areas of information technology, digital transformation, and cyber security. Be responsible for delivering our Digital Strategy, ensuring systems are reliable and secure, and aligning every digital initiative with our organisational objectives.

About You

Having a strong track record in delivering digital transformation. You will combine commercial acumen with a deep understanding of IT governance, cyber risk and emerging technologies.  

In this role, you will ideally have:

  • Strategic Leadership: Have proven executive leadership driving digital transformation, fostering innovation and continuous improvement within organisations.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of IT strategy, enterprise architecture, and governance frameworks.
  • Relationship Management: Proven communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
  • Technology Operations: Oversee infrastructure, systems, and enterprise applications to ensure they’re fit-for-purpose, future-focused, and value-driven.
  • Governance & Risk Management: Champion robust governance, cybersecurity, and compliance practices aligned with industry standards (e.g. ISO 27001, Privacy Act, NDIS Practice Standards).
  • Leadership & Culture: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing Digital Services team, promoting a customer-focused, collaborative, and innovative culture.
  • Qualifications: 
    • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Commerce (with a technology focus), or a related discipline.
    • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. ITIL, PRINCE2, cybersecurity frameworks) desirable.
